Gift registry

pe0058808[1] When we first discussed the idea of having a gift registry, Alaine and I decided that we would opt for a money tree instead. Although we will be moving to a new condo after the wedding, we already had all the appliances and what-have-yous that we need, thanks to our parents who generously shared all those hardly-used items to us.

However, a colleague of mine suggested that we still get one online so that our friends and family who are out of the country can still send in their gifts. This led me to start asking my recently-married friends for bridal/gift registries. They pointed me to places like SM, Rustans and some other furniture shop.

Unfortunately, none of these places had online registries. So instead, I tried to do an search for one. This lead me to a site called http://www.myweddingregistry.com.ph/. Although I was excited at first, I quickly noticed that the site had very limited items. Not only that, I felt that the premium they charged to each item was a bit too much.

So, after all that, we decided to stick with the original plan and go with the money tree… in our case, the money well :)
